Description
Why emulsified?
The human body is at least 60% water. It is only natural that the high water content in our bodies would be at odds, with the many oils and butters we use. It is widely known that water and oil don’t mix. This is what leaves that greasy texture behind, with so many moisturizers. By emulsifying the lotion, we have bonded water to butter creating one harmonious product. The water portion of our butter, attaches to the water in your skin cells. The butters attach to the oil in your skin cell, the two allow for complete absorption. This is why we emulsified the butters.

I have to preface this by saying I love this company and have been a loyal customer for years and my loyalty will not die but…. This body butter is freaking weird. I’ve never used a body butter that does what this one does. The initial texture is very light and cloud like. It seems like it’ll absorb right into the skin, silky smooth but instead I’m left with this greasy residue that really hard to rub into the skin. And on top of that the colorant wasn’t blending in because of the “grease” so I’m left with pink streaks up and down my leg.
Was my skin hydrated? Yes but I’ve never experienced a body butter that went from light and whipped to heavy and greasy in a few swipes. Super strange.
