Mata Hari

$11.00

This is Mata Hari, (inspired by her costume)- she is a gold flake base with jewel-tone glitter in red, blue, green, & purple flakes. Mata Hari was an independent woman (that was rare for the time), a divorcee, a citizen of a neutral country, a courtesan, and a dancer. This made her a perfect scapegoat for the French, who were then losing the war. She was held up as an example of what might happen to women of loose morals. When she was executed, she refused a blindfold, and defiantly blew a kiss to the firing squad just as they took aim. Gotta love her defiance!

We honor and thank you!

Description

This is our Anti-Valentines collection. If you’ve been with us a while you’ll know I HATE valentines! Always have! I dreaded it when I was in school. It made me terribly uncomfortable to have to write valentines to classmates I didn’t like. Anyhoo, because of this, I don’t do typical lovey-dovey Valentine’s crap! So this is the Women Done Wrong Collection. I’m including a small write up of how they were done wrong. Feel free to skip it. There’s no quiz.
