2019 Women Done Wrong Full Set

This is our Anti-Valentines collection. If you’ve been with us a while you’ll know I HATE Valentines Day! Always have! I dreaded it when I was in school. It made me terribly uncomfortable to have to write valentines to classmates I didn’t like. Anyhoo, because of this, I don’t do typical lovey-dovey Valentine’s crap! So this is the Women Done Wrong Collection. I’m including a small write up of how they were done wrong. Feel free to skip it. (There’s no quiz;)

Women Done Wrong Specialty Collection

Mata Hari

An independent woman, a divorcee, a citizen of a neutral country, a courtesan and a dancer. This made her a perfect scapegoat for the French, who were losing the war. She was held up as an example of what might happen to women if your morals were too loose. When she was executed, she was not bound and refused a blindfold. She defiantly blew a kiss to the firing squad. Mata Hari (inspired by her costume)- she is a gold flake base with jewel-tone glitter in red, blue, green, & purple.

Lilith

Adam’s first wife. She was created from the same clay as Adam, as opposed to Eve who was created from his rib. Lilith was banished from the garden of Eden for not being subservient to Adam & having a mind of her own. She was thrown into hell and is considered the first demon. Lilith- I wanted to give back the garden of Eden filled with light and luscious color! She has green to blue shifting flakes, and holographic flakes to bathe it in light. Then I added gawgeous flakes is a myriad of amazing color flakes. Colors include but are not limited to, yellow, green, red, gold, purple & blue. She’s lovely ladies!!

Boudica

The Celtic Warrior Queen took Rome with a vengeance!! Boudica’s husband left his kingdom to his daughters and the Roman emperor. When he died, Boudica was flogged and her daughters raped. After she led an army of British Rebels and burned down cities, leaving destruction in her wake! She even managed to terrify Nero the then ruler of Rome. Boudica- is a gunmetal grey jelly with green shimmer, holographic shards, and iridescent flakes in gold, blue, and green.

Marie Antoinette

The queen of France was married at 14, and things only got worse. She was vilified by the French press from the moment she arrived because she was Austrian. She was accused of being promiscuous with men and women. Was the subject pornography from the age of 14, and accused of being responsible for the French Revolution. The truth… She never had a single affair. She spent less than anyone else in the royal family choosing to wear a casual cheap white dress when at home. Who was the spender in the family? Well, it was her husband and his brother they spent it like it was water. Ultimately she was beheaded at the age of 37 and died the most hated woman in France. Maria Antoinette is a pastel aqua jelly with a strong pink shimmer, iridescent pick shards, as well as holographic shards. I also included iridescent flakes in pink, green, & gold.

Joan Of Arch

A young peasant girl who said God spoke to her and told her to lead the French army to victory. She led her army in thirteen battles winning nine. In the end, Joan was ordered to answer some 70 charges against her, including witchcraft, heresy, and dressing like a man. She was convicted and burned at the stake at 19 years old. In 1456, an inquisitorial court examined the trial, debunked the charges against her, pronounced her innocent, and declared her a martyr. Joan of Arch is a warm and beautiful brown jelly with gold sparkle. The flames are represented with red metal flakes that shift gold and green. Finally, I added holographic flakes for a spark;)

The Black Dahlia

A murder victim. She was dissected and dumped in a park. Because of the graphic nature of the murder, it became a circus! When the press had nothing new to report they made stuff up. Reporters wrote stories about her being promiscuous, having sex with men and women. They even reported that she made her living as a prostitute. The truth, she was a waitress in a coffee shop and died a virgin. The Black Dahlia- a black jelly base with silver random cut shards as well as holographic shards.

Shirley Chisholm

The first African American woman to be elected to Congress. From day one she had to fight! The old white male Congress decided to put her on the farming board. She held a press conference stating “I’m from the city, I have no idea how to pick cotton.” She demanded that they put her on a committee she was qualified for. In those days, NO ONE complained. EVER! Well, she did, and for the first time in her-story, they reseated a Congressperson. She won, and kept winning after that! Chisholm- is a suffragette white (a color Shirley wore often;) with three kinds of iridescent flakes. The first shifts pink, gold & green. The second shifts purple, blue, green, and finally the third shifts gold, peach, green.
